Sandra L Popowich
Sandra L Popowich began her passion for art after receiving her box of crayons and drawing as high as she can reach inside her closet. It’s been a passionate love affair ever since! She has been exploring her passion as a visual artist, illustrator, animator and teacher for over 20 years. She received her Bachelor of Education degree and Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a minor in History, Political Science and Anthropology from the University of Alberta. She later received her classical animation certification from Sheridan College in Ontario. She had been teacher in Alberta for over 28 years teaching from grade 1-12 specializing in fine art, history and social studies. She has also been a sessional professor at Augustana College, a sculptor at Wilderness Casting, an animator in the Canadian National Film Board projects, an illustrator for children’s books, and an independent visual artist and illustrator.
